How private Olivia Raven is: billing, email and your profile

Discretion is mostly about four things: your statement, your inbox, your profile and your photos. Here's what each one shows.

In short

On Olivia Raven, check the billing name shown at checkout before you pay; that's what your statement will show. Account emails go to the address you sign up with. Your profile is shared with partner sites in the same network, so their members can see and message you. Photos are reviewed and must not show nudity or lingerie. You choose everything else you share.

Your card statement

Your statement shows the billing name displayed at checkout, so look at it before you confirm rather than assuming it won't mention the site. Automatic renewals show the same way.

Two things are worth knowing. First, a statement line you don't recognise is what most people notice, so if you share an account or a card, assume the line will be seen and asked about. Second, memberships renew until you cancel in Settings > Billing, so a forgotten membership keeps appearing. The prices page explains renewal.

Your inbox

Anything the members area sends, such as a password reset, goes to the email address you registered with. A separate address used only for dating keeps those messages out of your everyday inbox and keeps your main address off the site.

If you set one up, give it a name that isn't your full real name, protect it with a strong unique password, and turn on two-step sign-in in your email provider's settings. It's your key to the account, so don't lose access to it.

Your profile, and the shared network

Your profile can be seen by members across a network of partner sites, not only by people on Olivia Raven. This is the part people most often get wrong. The sites share one member database, members of those sites can message you, and profiles show the site a member joined through.

So write your profile for a wide audience. Leave out your surname, employer, street, children's names or anything that would identify you to a colleague or neighbour who happened to be browsing. Describe what you're curious about rather than who you are on paper. You can share more, one person at a time, once you trust them.

Your photos

Choose photos that show personality without showing where you live or work. Every photo is reviewed before it appears, and the rules don't allow nudity or lingerie. That protects you as much as anyone: whatever goes on a profile can be screenshotted by any member who sees it.

Plenty of women start with a photo that doesn't show their face: a silhouette, a profile shot with hair across the face, a hand with a drink at a window. Avoid your front door, a car registration, a uniform or a recognisable view. A picture already on your social media can be traced back to you with a reverse image search, so use one taken just for this.

If someone recognises you

If someone you know comes across your profile, you don't owe them an explanation, and you can report anyone who uses it to pressure you. Don't reply under pressure. If they threaten to tell people unless you pay or do something, that's blackmail: save the messages, stop contact and follow the scams and sextortion guide. Report the profile through the members help centre.

Private messages and photos

Anything you send in a message can be kept by the person who receives it. Don't send intimate photos to someone you haven't met, and never anything showing your face with a body shot. If someone threatens to share images of you, don't pay and get help straight away; our safety page lists who to contact in Ireland and the UK.

Leaving cleanly

Cancel any membership in Settings > Billing, then delete your account at avatar > Settings > Delete Account. If you used a separate email address, you can close that too. Account help walks through it.

Questions people ask

Will Olivia Raven appear on my bank statement?

Check before you pay. The billing name your statement will show is displayed at checkout, and it may not say Olivia Raven. Renewals appear under the same name each period until you cancel. If you share an account or a card with someone, assume they may see the line and ask about it, and decide how you'll handle that honestly.

Can people on other sites see my profile?

Yes. Olivia Raven shares one member database with partner sites in the same network, so members of those sites can see your profile and message you. Profiles show which site someone joined through, but the audience is the whole network. Write your profile and choose photos as if anyone on it could see them.

Do I have to show my face?

No. Many people start with photos that don't show their face, such as a silhouette or a side profile, and share more in private once they trust someone. Most sites on the network require at least one profile photo, but it doesn't have to identify you. Avoid pictures already on your social media.

Where is the website's own privacy notice?
